CHILDREN’S LITURGY, created for the active minds and bodies of our children, is offered to all children age 2 to 12 during all masses. Program begins in September and ends in June. No registration required.
CATECHETICAL INSTRUCTION – Catechism is an essential part of a baptized child’s faith journey. St. Luke’s supports the family in their educational role by offering catechism journeys from level K to level 6. Upon attaining a certain level a child will then be invited to receive his/her Sacraments of Initiation such as Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. Parents are encouraged to register for these programs when their child enters Grade 1 – age 6. The catechetical program being used is called Faith First (www.faithfirst.com). Spring registration is recommended.
RECONCILIATION AND EUCHARIST - Families can request that their child receive these sacraments during their 2nd year of catechetical instruction. (See Catechetical Instruction)
CONFIRMATION: Families can request that their child be part of the Confirmation process when he or she is in their 6th year of catechetical formation. The child will be invited to confirm their faith at a Confirmation celebration. (See Catechetical Instruction)
Volunteers who share their love of Jesus with others, especially the children of our community, make these programs possible. If you would like to assist, please call Michael Johnston who will gladly see what could best suit your abilities, time constraints and interests.
CAFE (Catholic Adult Faith Enrichment) WORKSHOPS & RETREATS
These activities are offered to parents in order to help them develop their personal spiritual life in order to better support their children in their own faith journey.
